EXpression-based Telomerase Enzymatic activity Detection (EXTEND)

EXTEND (EXpression-based Telomerase ENzymatic activity Detection) is an R package used for prediction of telomerase activities using gene expression data from different platforms including microarrays and RNA-sequencing (for bulk and single cell data).

Input Data: Gene expression data in the form of 2-dimensional matrix is required as an input, where rows corresponds to gene names (official gene symbols) and column names corresponds to samples.

Output: Output is generated in the form of text file containing telomerase (EXTEND scores) in raw and normalized formats.

Useage: EXTEND requires devtools for installation purpose.

Error running RunExtend command

Error message while running the following command

RunEXTEND(data = dfm)
Error in colSums(DataRanks3, na.rm = FALSE, dims = 1) :
'x' must be an array of at least two dimensions

Here "dfm" is my data matrix with gene expression profile with 16000 genes and 25 samples.
Gene names are official Gene names set as the row names and sample names were set as column names.

The function completed successfully when I transposed the matrix (Gene names as column names and sample names as row names) but no output text file was generated.
The function finishes with the following message only

RunEXTEND(data = dft)
[1] "Finished Computation of Telomerase Activity"
