logos's Issues

What's wrong with the current one?

I actually like the current one:

The colors are striking, it's minimal, easy to reproduce and re-purpose (for example it would be fairly simple to create a complete identity from this)

Except for the fact that the unbalanced stroke in the "o" seems a little off. Maybe something like Frutiger or Helvetica may be more suitable.

Submission format instructions

We should provide instructions for format and resolutions so we get consistent submissions. This will be easier to work with. The consensus in the logo thread seemed to be SVG + 500x500px PNG/JPG.

Should we add this info to a README? This repo is empty right now otherwise I'd submit a pull request.

Designers that can't git clone

Not all designers can clone a repo, do a push, and submit a pull request. Most might not have GitHub accounts at all. Are we taking this into account?

File Structure

I've just had a look at the discussion over at iojs/io.js and all "votes" go to users. Suggestions would be easier to find, if they were ordered by user(name), not a desciption. Or maybe a combination, like username-plus-description.
