I'm a long time Nomie 2 user (which for me, is still the ultimate unparalled tracker), but the rise of some glitches convinced me to to try to upgrade to Nomie 4.

Using the import from backup, Nomie 4 doesn't pick up the boards/tabs, while the JSON backup has a properly populated groups field.

Is this a bug or indended behaviour?

The problem seems to be platform independent.

It would be nice if it could show the name of the file.

Hello,
as you can see in the screenshots, all the icons (which I suppose are font icons) appear unsupported.
The problem appears on iPhone both as a Home web app and in Safari.

I have a "Single Tap" tracke with "Save on Tap" activated. Sometimes I double Tap (Tracker is coffee, when I drink a double espresso I double tap).

However when double-tapping it creates 2 "coffee" entries with count 2 each, so in total 4 coffees instead of 2

EDIT: Firefox on Android, not tested any other system

I live in Brazil and we use the Metric System. Water tracking, for example, is measured in Liters here.

I'm glad to send a PR for this but I don't know the codebase. Can you guys guide me a little on how should this be done?

When trying to change the date of a history point it only works in the same month.

Moving a point to the 9/1/2019 works, but 8/31/2019 does not work. It sys log updated but the tracker point stays on the same date.

On Android (I use Firefox). I created a short cut for the home screen. It works. But if I am offline and try to launch the web app, it won't open. Since most of the content here is static. I think its a great idea to have it collect data from user offline. It can sync when it goes online.

Add a multi-language protocol, and I can provide a Chinese translation.

iOS 13, when trying to set custom positivity level spawns the numeric keyboard because of this <input pattern="[0-9]*" inputmode="numeric" class="form-control"> (specificly pattern="[0-9]*")

The way I understand it, the score should be an integer positive or negative, but with that keyboard I can only set positive integers.

Unless I miss something, I suggest to use a normal keyboard here.

The problem does not appears in Android 5 or Desktop.

I really like the approach of Nomie v4 in general but I'm hardly missing the conditions feature for habit trackers I'm common to from old Nomie versions.

The core USP of Nomie was for me always this meta-leval and your approach to "reduce" everything based rules to one single shared "KPI" called "positivity". In this area you're massively ahead of other habit trackers.

On Safari 12.1.2, macOS 10.13.6, all trackers look like this:

I use the iphone version and also access Nomie via a computer browser. I noticed that when I update on the browser the iphone version often does not have the updates. If I then track something on the iphone it overrides any changes made on the web version.

I tried to use a flag emoji for a tracker but it only came up as one of the Regional Indicator Symbols used for that flag instead of the proper emoji.

When first using the app and going into Settings straight away, next to "First Book Created" it says "NaN years ago", which I expect can be improved.

Incidentally I don't know what a "book" is in this context. Maybe this can be explained somehow in the app or in the FAQ.

After using a couple of trackers, it now says the first book was created 17 days ago, even though I've just started using the app. Maybe because it is the 17th day of the current month?

Anything you can do to improve clarity on this text would be very welcome!

It is difficult for normal users to know what 'Tag' is when adding trackers, and it is also hard for users to change the 'Tag' name on web (they have to download the backup and change it manually, then import).

If it is possible to generate a random Tag when adding a new Tracker, make it easier to manage trackers?

The map location should only change if in edit mode. Currently anytime you change the map location it will show the center lat long location name

@brandoncorbin I think the issue #22 is only partly solved. I do not know how to reopen the issue, and I guess you don't see posts in closed issues?

When doubletapping one item it is solved.
When tapping two different items too fast it counts the first item twice.

When adding a Numeric tracker, in the Count By section, "Stones" appears twice.

Exporting does t seem to do anything when using BlockStack.

Error also happening on Settings page.. Looks related.

Nomie needs a Day Reset function... I have it basically working, just need to test it.

Currently In Nomie 4, if you’re using multiple devices, and one device opened Nomie on Monday but didn’t update or track anything until Tuesday, will overwrite that days storage file..

Hello. First time user of the app here, so these are initial impressions.

I chose to use Local storage when I first started and added the recommended trackers. Then went into Settings.

Even though I knew I had picked Local, the Settings screen worried me with the text "Use Cloud". I am a native English speaker, but even so I wasn't sure if this meant I was currently using Cloud or not. Its position on the right-hand side made it look like this was the current setting.

Maybe if the text was changed to "Switch to cloud storage" or similar, maybe in a smaller font, and across the full width (underneath rather than alongside Local) it'd be clearer.

When adding a tracker, one is immediately put into what I might describe as an "advanced" or "custom" mode. This power is great, but as a first time user I was expecting to see a gallery of premade example trackers to choose from. And a custom tracker option at the end.

It would be nice to remove the always-visible scrollbar from the UI, like here:

It’s the field at the bottom of the tracker main page. It flickers very fast and never stops. I have to press a letter several times before it appears in the field. It’s like it reloads on a loop or something. I’m on an iPhoneX, if that makes any difference.

This is where I’d provide evidence for the bug - but i don’t have any. I do know that my avg sleep isn’t 4hrs a day.

On iOS Keypads (pin and numeric input) and a long delay that makes it annoying to use.

When in dark mode, the FAQ text is invisible.

I also noticed the dashboard page has white spaces when in dark mode.

Every time I open the "Progressive web app" (I've just pressed the add to homescreen button from Safari), it shows me the alert about location access. Is it possible to get rid of it?

It would be great to integrate Apple Healthkit. For example for sleep, food, sexual activities.

When starting a new nomie profile (if that's the right word) we are told "Select at least 1 trackers to get started". Should be "tracker". Also might be better as "one" but that's less important.

Reproduce:

• go to history tab
• so a search
• go to track tab
• go back to history - app throws error.

Most likely this is because I have not updated the History store (still unsure if it should be a store) to account for the recent search changes.

A tracker with named options would be great.

example:

When the phone goes to dark mode. Nomie needs to be refreshed before the dark mode is enabled. Can it automatically detect the change when Nomie opens?

Need to looks at what event listener gets fired when a PWA comes to the foreground.

When location use is enabled, android will ask for permission, but will never load the actual geo location of the user.

Currently, tracker buttons only show the tally for the day. It would be nice to have a tracker option to configure the tally timespan between, day, week, month.

My only concern is for weeks that cross months - as those would require loading the previous months payload each time the app opens - which might not be feasible.

I'm using iOS Shortcuts to log my steps and distance walked for the previous day. I can get my steps and distance walked into the app via the api without issue. I've tried formatting the date several ways but I keep getting "Invalid Date from api" in Settings > Nomie API > Captured.

What date formatting should I use with the API?

the app seems to cut out on iphone x

so there is a gray bar at the top and the bottom has the gray rectangle that blocks the middle buttons

On an iPhone (iOS11), when I go to Download CSV, it sends me to what looks like a html page with a table containing my data. From there I seem to be unable to save the data somehow. Same if I go to Backup, then I see what looks like an html page spelling out an entire JSON structure for me.

Is there any way to retrieve these data as actual files? I would love to start using nomie in the class I am currently teaching, but I need a working export / download functionality.

Tracker stats need to be comparable. I'm thinking, I'll add a button on the stats view for "compare" and basically duplicate each component with the compared trackers data.

On desktop right-clicking on a tracker spawns the usual context-menu but also trigger the tracker behavior.

I think that only left click should count as a click.

This is a very minor issue but the top bar has the bottom grey margin and black background only extend to the set max-width when it should fill the entire width of the screen when Dark Mode is enabled. I'll look into the fix (likely just a couple line change/component restructure) but unfortunately am very busy the next two weeks so may not be until after then that I could look into this myself.

In the settings menu, the first entry looks like this with my account:

I guess that's a small mistake and it should display the account name and/or id.

if you do not install the default trackers, the "Add Tracker" button does not show

Make it possible for users to rearrange trackers. This could be done by hold and drag or drag in a "arrange mode".
Also, add folders.
This will make it more convenient to organize trackers and saves space.

My two more commonly used boards are far away from each other, and since my board tab overflows I always have to swipe left or right.

It would be great if they could be manually ordered.

When editing a ranged tracker, the Default Value does not save.

I would love to have multiple storage/sync mecahnism. If you can make the interface generic. May be the community can add different storage/sync backends.
