Empty config.php-Bug Back? about updater HOT 6 CLOSED

Do you have a way to reproduce this? This would be super helpful to find a fix

Hi! I think I might have posted here prematurely ... meanwhile I've gotten it to work, and the secret seems to be simply to restart the webserver. It might be nice though if there was a notice or a comment about this somewhere (possibly in the freshly created config.php itself?)

There is an explicit restriction to touch nothing but config.sample.php in config dir.
Do you have symlinks in path to your OC or config.php?

@VicDeo, indeed we have OC sitting in a different physical directory which is symlinked to from the place where the webserver has access to it. But config.php itself is no symlink. If there's no config.php though (i.e. a brand-new installation), isn't one also created?

@sixtyfive I'd say upgrade is not clean in this case and more like a new installation since old salt is lost.
This is a known issue for 6.0.3|6.0.4. fixed with owncloud-archive/apps#1868

And sadly 7.0 is also affected.
I'd suggest to apply 8749296
to prevent it when migrating to 7.0.1
