if there is no local_manifests folder in .repo the dependencies script will give you an error

I built the PAC 4.2.2 today but getting the FC of phone.
i tried using the logcat but didnt have too much time to look into the error.

For Galaxy S4 SPR/ATT/TMO/USC/XXX variants as they have official builds listed but I am failing to locate said devices PAC config/make files in the vendor/pac/products folder

so guys we will get a biiiiig website for listing our current stables, every month every device mentainer can roll out a STABLE which will be published there for every device we support ;-)

For now the website is mentained by our Designer PulseDroid and will have a colour sheme like the PAC Mans xD

and basically it will look like the get.cm ;-)

i have a great news for you guys. The guys at basketbuild are offering us buildbox and hosting for pacman.Now i need some help from you guys to have as many devices to build automatically as we can. The buildbox will build stable aswell as nightlies when needed.

To have your device on buildbox here are the conditions

1. Your dependencies and manifest files should be complete under
   https://github.com/PAC-man/android_vendor_pac/tree/cm-10.1/manifest (only use the removes where needed)
   https://github.com/PAC-man/android_vendor_pac/tree/cm-10.1/dependencies
2. The settings you pushed for your devices MUST be able to build pacman and the output zip must be working as you wont be able to add or remove stuff from zip, it will be automatically uploaded to the file host when built.
3. You must specifically tell me to include your device in the buildbox as i wont risk adding devices unless told my the device maintainer.
4. You must have the spirit of sharing and open source and not using pacman to get fame, for example useless themes and tweak apps. Things like these maybe included in a separate zip on your thread but they must not be associated with pacman.
5. There must be atleast a significant amount of people using your builds, for example a device that has under 100 downloads per release will take time off buildbox but wont be able to deliver to as much people as a semi popular device. So i will prefer devices having atleast a decent amount of activity related to pacman. In short we dont have infinite spots so i will prefer more popular devices over less popular.

Another thing i need some people to manage buildbox with me.

1. The buildbox access is a sensitive thing and comes with great power so i will only be accepting people who i or szl trust and have contributed to the project.
2. You must be able to configure and have knowledge of linux terminal via SSH. Ability to write build script etc will also be appreciated.

i also need some ideas about layout of the download page.
we will be getting a special pacman domain on the site basketbuild.com
i was thinking about 2 folders: Official Release and Nightlies, and they can be further divided to devices
or Device Folders and than Official Release and Nightlies inside
which one do you think is better? the first one is how CM manages it

I have buyed a Domain called http://pac-man-rom.de for my builds and little more. But i think, this is a good idea for made a global Site for FAQ, Helpdesk (globally), embedded Chat, Device-Infos, Downloadlinks from all officially Devices and many more...
I can install a Wordpress or other so we can build a nice Site. All have Access was here in the List....

Does everyone get new bootanimation included in the finished build zip? whenever i build i get this while the build is starting:

PRODUCT_COPY_FILES vendor/pac/prebuilt/xhdpi/bootanimation.zip:system/media/bootanimation.zip ignored.

and then i end up with CyanogenMods bootanimation in my finished zip.

In local_manifest.xml / roomservice.xml , I use to add this to add a new remote

Problem is I am adding the projects/repositories of the remote in ".adds" , ".removes" . How to add the remote and fetch location?

When you open the recent calls list, the bottom bar (with the search icon, and the 3 dots) is placed at the top of the screen (as an overlay over the contact list)

This happens in portrait mode on phablet ui and might be related to the navbar not showing on landscape mode.

Was ParanoidAndroid renamed to AOSPA?Row 91st of pac/config/pac_common.mk,the vendor/pa/overlay/common couldn't be found.Maybe we should bring pa/prebuilt/apk/ParanoidPreferences.apk back from https://github.com/AOSPA/android_vendor_pa/tree/kitkat/prebuilt/apk.

I'm having an issue getting Hybrid Settings going on xt926 can someone please give me some insight. The Main Menu isn't showing at all and I am having to edit permissions on preferences.config after first boot.

i noticed a very infamous bug...
navbar rings rotate of 90° in landscape mode!

Core: Update German translation was 6 days ago merged, into new "cm_strings.xml"
But the strings in "strings,xml" from line 1457 till end (CYANOGENMOD ADDITIONS START) was not deleted.

Discoverd a Bug if the device (s4active) is booted without internet the date and time isnt set probably doesnt matter if you checkbox automatik mode or manual

I'm not sure about you guys, but no matter the dpi and other settings (layout only has 360 available) but for my hdpi device (d710) PA prefs won't show up correctly in portrait mode. The screens are cut off even at the smallest dpi, but the rest of the screen can be seen if rotated into landscape mode... any ideas or people with this same problem?

i have been seeing recently that you guys got a lot more active which is a great start. Its time to learn something new and improve on what you already know
when you guys cherry pick do it from the terminal, keep the original author's name and the commit name
dont push squashed commits, they make it harder to track issues and revert the actual commit that would be the reason for a issue.
keeping the original author name is VERY important, i dont want people pointing fingers at pacman for stealing/renaming commits.
cherry picking and keeping the original author was discussed in xda developer private chat and here are some example of what the developers had to say

You can use git commit --author="Name " to keep authorship intact.
these are the words of some of the most respected devs in android community and we should learn from them

I was wondering when you compile a ROM, does the bootanimation.zip gets created or is the bootanimation already implemented in the framework? Because when my ROM.zip gets created, I get no bootanimation at all? Just a blank screen on start up.

If you leave buttons as they are, they don't show up, if you add another button they show up but cut off and are a mirror image of normal buttons

I don't know where to ask this exactly. I don't know if this is specific to my phone or not. I have the htc one s. When in landscape mode, if the phone goes to sleep or is turned off the phone reboots. I don't know if this is a common bug. Just thought I would mention it. Maybe it's already known if so then close this issue.

Pac-man 4.4 build from source(GT-I9300 and other Devices),when startup,it tells "Unfortunately,the process com.android.systemui has stopped.Blame Tyler"

As you guys can see, our girhub account is flooded by many devices tree.
The problem are, many of them were just forked here but is 100% identical with cm's which is pointless or they are already abandoned or even worse isnt used anymore in these current pac project.

So we will do some clean up, for every maintainer who has device tree forked here but actually can use cm ones (still get supported by cm) please remove it and update your device.dependencies

For the rest, we will delete them if they aren't stated in any device.dependecies

Thats is for now, we'll do cleaning phase 2 later

But the Xperia devs does not have access to android_device_mango and also android_vendor_pac and few other Xperia repos
Plz fix it.
I passed the compiling error of overlay and kernel but now stuck at legacy camera
