Having the record button (microphone icon) all the time appearing close to the message input field leads to accidental recordings, which is a bad UX. I suggest to allow the users to hide that icon and protect him against accidental audio recordings.

I am developing chatting application using Telegram API,

When i download telegram code from (https://github.com/peter-iakovlev/Telegram) it is showing me error SSignalKit/SSignalKit.h and MTProtoKit/MTContext.h file not found. I found the same file over internet and added it,

But now it is showing #import "../../config.h" file not found

From where can i get this file or how do i add it Telegram sample code?

When peeking at a conversation with 3D Touch, the list view item first gets selected with a dark background colour. The background colour abruptly disappears when the Peek animation begins. It should fade out instead, like in the iOS Messages app.

i use Traditional Chinese keyboard, and it repeat character 3 times

eg. i want to type '你' ， i should press ㄋ一ˇ ，it's mapping to English keyboard 's', 'u', '3'

and i get so many ㄋㄋㄋㄋㄧㄋㄧㄋㄧㄋㄧˇㄋㄧˇ你

Please Update Source Code to latest Telegram version (3.8)

While compiling got error in POPVector.h file as " no type named 'shared_ptr in namespace 'std' '"
Solved the issue by adding C++11[-std=c++11] in C++ Language Dialect,and adding libc++ in C++ standard Library.
But now after adding these got another issue in saying "tr1/memory" file not found.i searchde for the solution and resolved this error by adding libstdc++ in C++ standard Library which in return gave me the previous (POPVectoe.h file) error..

Try to run the app on Xcode 7 stuck with the error SSignalKit file not found, unable to find the folder SignalKit in the cloned repository.

i can't change the bundle display name. when i build the application, my simulator shows always "Telegram" name.

Hi I am not able to run a single line code. Atleast tell me how to run it? its too much buggy.
I am using xcode 6.4 all the times if i resolve issue its going to give me new error.
I have tried to clone it from here

also tried to update submodules

also tried to download as zip resolved missing frameworks by own my self..

Since iOS 9 the system font is San Fransico. In the chat text box this font is used but if I send a message and it appears in a chat bubble, another font is used. I think it would look better, if this would be the same (San Fransico) font.
Would be great :)

Please make each chat remember the keyboard used in it like the stock messaging app. For instance useful when using different languages in chats.

Problem: I have a long chat list in which a lot of chats are not active anymore – but I don’t want to delete the chat history.
Proposed solution: Ability to archive chats. For examples on how this feature could be implemented, see Signal on iOS or WhatsApp.

I've noticed that when you receive a notification with the phone locked, if you slide it to the left it shows the Reply button, you can then reply and send a message without inserting the password, that means that anyone with my phone can answer messages in the telegram app.
Don't know if this is the right place to report this, sorry if I am mistaken.

I'm using Telegram for all my personal chats, and I do enjoy it as the best messenger I know. The App for iOS is brilliant, and it's outstanding how fast updates arrive to deliver the latest features enabled by new iOS-versions. For example, the ability to respond to messages right from the notification, that was added in iOS 9, already exists. I enjoy this, but it is annoying, that, at least in group chat, always the message that I reply to is getting forwarded. I don't want others to cope with copies of all messages in the chat, so I can't use this feature yet. Could you just add a switch in the settings to disable the forwarding of messages? I'd really appreciate that! Thanks! You're awesome, and keep up the great work!

Saving gifs to camera roll with the save-button in contextmenu is not possible.
It actually doesn't do anything. Telegram version 3.9.1.

The Android telegram client had smart notifications for a long time.
Please implement it for iOS, too.

Smart notifications work like this:
You can set any (group) chat to only notify you 1-10 times in a time window of 1-10 minutes (even if there are more messages). That way you don't have to turn off notifications completely, if there is too much activity.

It's really annoying to get notifications every time some long forgotten contact in my phone installed Telegram, good for him, whoever he is.

Push notification sometimes doesn't have sound and if app is not active in background, then no push notification will be received.

Please update this with the latest version!!!!!

Instead of using 3rd party apps to make drawings and send as images on Telegram, it could have its own integrated drawing feature. Just like IMO.

What do you guys think about it?

PS: Just as a side note, we could be able to enable or disable Stickers at all, in any group chat. That'd be great - I hate those stickers. :/

using the latest Telegram version on iOS 7.1.2.

Problem: when receiving animated GIFs via the inline-bot @gif the animation (MP4 video?) cannot be played.

Expected: Telegram should provide its own playback routines to ensure functionality even if Apple's iOS is not able to playback the media.

Very often when I open the Telegram app, the touch ID popup takes a long time to load, but if I place my finger on the scanner it skips the PIN input page and goes directly to the chats page, without actually unlocking the app (as evidenced by the blue lock at the top). Then the touch ID popup appears and the grey overlay prevents me from doing anything even after scanning my finger or tapping "Cancel". I have to lock my iPhone, unlock and restart the app.

Could you please provide Documentation to integrate MTProtokit Library.
