That's so nice of you to offer to do it for me. But it's cool, I'll send a PR sometime today. I'll add it to that section.
I feel like MySQLi doesn't really get much love in the PHP community in general haha. I had to go through so many different resources, and often times just experiment, in order to come to my conclusions. PDO is obviously more versatile, but for people who strictly deal with MySQL, it's nice to know you have two excellent options to combat SQL injection.
On a side note, I'd like to thank you guys for starting this initiative. In recent years, PHP has gotten a bad reputation, due to a lot of its users writing bad code. This unfairly gets conflated with it being inherently insecure or inferior in some way, when that couldn't be further from the truth — PHP is awesome. The community you're forming and growing tips/articles is excellent for the PHP world.

Thanks @D-Marc1 for this suggestion. Maybe we can add your article to the SQL injection list (at the See also
section). Will you be able to send a pull request or you need help adding that there?
Yes originally the idea was to introduce mysqli also for beginners to be able to access MySQL/MariaDB databases easily and without much barriers... Maybe we should introduce that also one day. Thanks for letting us know.

Sounds like good ideas. 👍
