littlebrain-stm32f4-sensorboard's Issues

[Question] Parts designation numbers schema

Hi,
I see you have assign a unique range of numbers for parts designators to each schematic page.
I assume the reason behind it is that it would be easy to understand to each function of the board each component relate to by simply looking at the silk screen. Nice trick!

  • Is that a common practice to do so? can please explain a bit about it?
  • Can you please explain how you did it in KiCad?

Thanks.

Please add a License

Phil,

What license are you releasing the hardware and software designs under? Please add a license to the repository so this can be communicated.

Some popular licenses for software are the GNU General Public License (GPL) and the MIT license. Hardware designs can even have a license; I have used the CERN open hardware license in the past https://cern-ohl.web.cern.ch/.

Gerber

Hello friend!
I found your youtube video on stm32 and I thought, let's give it a try! I also wanted to see how it looks in jlcpcb's ordering tool, and to perfect the process, as I am not experienced with pcb fabs. But after uploading gerber files to jlcpcb (I used the provided .rar), the board dimensions are not detected (both fields are empty) and there is no board-preview, as usual. Therefore, the option of their smt assembly is not enabled. Do you know what could be the issue? Thanks!

U100/U200 no longer known to JLCPCB?

Hi Phil,
wonderful vids on your youtube channel. Really like your approach from pencil to practice and actual implementations. particularly the filter/dsp stuff (new to me). recently retired engineer and a couple of colleagues looking to simulate the brain cells again. Just turned my first KiCAD boards (simple stuff) for a club built project to learn that.

trying to order some littebrain PCBs ordering from JLCPCB as you have noted in the vids. However, U100/U100 are no longer known to JLCPCB. any way to readily correct this? Would like to follow along with your vids using the LB as the devboard as closely as possible.

Really like the STM32 stuff and recently ordered a STM32H743 Nucleo-144 board but haven't yet gotten the dev environment setup. If the solution to ordering LittleBrain is longer term, we will probably just go with ordering some sort of BL088 module and get it working with a Nucleo-board.

any suggestions?

W25N01 Spi Nand Flash

Hi bro
thnx for shareing your nice project.
please start working on w25n01 driver and file system.
that's very nice chip for storage big data
i have some problem for implement a file system like rl-flashfs for this chip.
i wrote a raw low-lever driver for this chip , if you need tell me for sharing to you
i waiting on you to complete this part of your project!
i hope you start very soon
thnx bro.
