setName method for private dialog not working about quickblox-android-sdk HOT 5 CLOSED

I believe you can only use setName for Public Group(Type 1) or Group(Type 2) dialogs. I do not think Private Dialogs(Type 3) have this ability.

I want to differentiate some private dialog from other private dialog. On which basis should i differentiate

for 1-1 there is no sense to have a name - you can use opponent's name to have a label for this dialog

you can use a group type to have a chat between 2 users

I am updating the Group Dialog Name, but on Error it's giving me the error

com.quickblox.core.exception.QBResponseException: You don't have appropriate permissions to perform this operation
ErrorCode : 403

Please suggest on this.

You've got this message, cause if dialog's type is 1(PUBLIC_GROUP) - only dialog’s owner can update dialog.
