- A clearer error message on initialization sounds reasonable to me. I don't think that there's an intention to hide the errors.
- This is more complex, but I believe that is at least partially solved in #968 . The problem is that the actual cluster connection is hidden from the user - the user only holds a one direction channel sender that can send messages to the cluster connection, but can't receive data back. I don't think that there's a way to report errors from the internal processes of the cluster connection, only log them, and return errors on requests.
