SMC EX600 also has the same problem！

But slaves like Beckhoff's and WAGO‘s do not have this problem!

r8169 device in 4.19
hello，I want to use the igh with kernel 4.19,my PHY is r8169，but the 8169's device support to 4.14.
I read the source 4.14 & 4.19,find them different。
I want to adapt the driver to 4.19 . What should I do?

try to make modules under linux 4.9.24 with xenomai-v3.1 patched.
when CC ethercat-master/master/rtdm_xenomai_v3.c, a fatal error reported that no such file or directory named rtdm/driver.h
any solution?

   5.ethercat warning datagrams timed out

when I want to install the ethercat to ubuntu 16 with kernel 4.4 and Xenomai 3.1 , RTDM errors. it shows that asm/xenomai/wrappers.h no such file or directory . Could you tell me how to solve this problem?

We could successfully write a config file to our Copley slave with
ethercat foe_write -p0 Ourfile.xml .

But reading this file back with ethercat foe_read -p0 -o output.xml devcfg.xml was not possible,
as first we got an error message about rx_buffer being too small. Seemed reasonable as our file is about
90 KB.

So we increased the buffer size in https://github.com/ribalda/ethercat/blob/master/tool/CommandFoeRead.cpp#L117
up to 100000 bytes, this caused the following error messages in the kernel log:

[Tue May 11 12:00:38 2021] EtherCAT 0: Slave states on main device: PREOP.
[Tue May 11 12:01:15 2021] EtherCAT ERROR 0-main-0: Received packet number 0, expected 256.
[Tue May 11 12:01:15 2021] EtherCAT ERROR 0-main-0: Failed to handle FoE request.
[Tue May 11 12:01:59 2021] EtherCAT ERROR 0-main-0: Received packet number 0, expected 256.
[Tue May 11 12:01:59 2021] EtherCAT ERROR 0-main-0: Failed to handle FoE request.

So our naive approach failed.
Still: is there a quick remedy for this?

Stumbled across this as a co-worker found this. Have you considered upstreaming you patches to https://gitlab.com/etherlab.org/ethercat ?!

Just as I said, is there any plan? Currently only support xenomai 2.x
