As shown below, I had an issue where certain VST windows (in my case, GOYO) would crop out the bottom and right portions of the plugin. I was unable to scroll, resize the window or click anywhere within the empty region.

I found that the problem was caused by me not having my app scale set to 100% within Windows Display Settings. If you're having the same problem, you can try changing yours to 100% if you prefer EVERYTHING being smaller. If you're like me, though, you'll want to leave this setting alone (I had mine at 150% and wanted to keep it that way).

My solution is to slightly change the DPI settings within the Light Host executable properties:

1. Locate Light Host.exe, right click and select "Properties".
2. Navigate to Compatibility > Change high DPI settings > High DPI scaling override.
3. Check the box and select "System (Enhanced)" from the dropdown (I tried using normal "System" but thought it looked slightly blurrier).
4. Select OK from both property windows.
5. Quit Light host from the system tray if it's open (Right click > Quit).
6. Open Light Host. Now all windows should open without cropping.

Using last release, and double click on app, its dont wanna open, just closing momentally, tried run as adminstrator and use compatability mode.

With the LUveler plugin, LightHost stops working, makes no sound, and sometimes the settings of some plugins are reset.
I tried some forked version(this and this) but thier version are not support vst2 plugin, so I cant use LUveler plugin.

Is there any way to fix this, or is there a repository that has been modified to fix the above issue and support VST2 plugins?

When using this with the logitech g hub nvidia broadcast noise canceling ai engine there is heavy delay and significant clipping.

I'm not entirely sure if this could ever be fixed but keeping it here for anyone else.

When i come back from Sleep Mode Light Host does'nt do anything. I get no more Output at my Device. When i close and restart the Application everything works again.

Im using light host with voicemeeter potato and my light host vst's are being ignored, i can monitor my audio fine but the VST's are just not being passed to voicemeeter even though the test works fine. Im using Audient Evo 4 to run my SM7B and i have my HD650's connected to a Schiit Modi to monitor. Im running this on Windows 10

TDR Nova VST3 crashes Light Host on startup, normal VST does work but VST3 crashes. After manually removing the plugin from pluginListActive in the config file, Light Host doesn't crash anymore. This part of the config is responsible for it:

When i ran LightHost for first time, settings menu worked. But after connecting new mic it's gone. I tried to connect old mic, but nothing changed. I removed settings file in %appdata%, then removed all folder, but it didn't work

In Monterey, modern apps will adapt their icon colour based on the colour of the desktop background, which for many wallpapers can vary through the day.

It would be great if LightHost would adapt accordingly.

How do I use the multiple instances feature? Not really an issue, but this is a very useful feature for me and it isn't described that well.

I tried opening the Izotope Ozone Elements VST a second time when it was already open, just to see what would happen. LightHost crashed and began taking up massive amounts of memory. Unfortunately, it appears that the bad plugin configuration settings were saved so every time I open it up, it crashes and takes up a massive quantity of memory. I do not want to lose my plugin configuration settings. How would I make the appropriate changes in the settings file to keep my Ozone mixing settings intact?

I own several waves vsts and it seems like while trying to scan them, LightHost just crashes and closes straight away

those are the vsts it tried to load just before it crashed

It seems that moving plugins up and down in the list (using "Move Up" / "Move Down" in the plugin item menu) makes plugin lose their configuration (say, FabFilter's compressor ended up with setting values all over the place - not default, nor ones I've configured it to - after I've moved another plugin above it). Anyone can confirm?

As stated in the title. I've tried all releases and none of them bring up the right click menu options. Is there some sort of prereq?

Windows 11 Pro (21H2)
Opened settings and got a big window, half of it empty and a button hidden somewhere behind a panel. Picture attached.

In utilities I see you can remove settings in MAC. But I cannot delete settings in Windows and my program has crashed after addin a specific VST. Now I remove those VST in directory but program still crashes.

The program used to work, but at some point I quit, click on the .exe file of the program, and nothing happens. I tried disabling windows protection and running as administrator, but there is no result

Hi, on OBS, I had two reafir_standalone installed, one only for the background noise, and the other of me typing and clicking. I'd like to do the same with Light host but it appears we can't use twitce the same plugin.

Would that be possible to give us the ability to use the same plugin more than once in a future update or it's barely useless?

Is it possible to increase the buffer size so that more effects can be used? Because I use some complex effects, and the standard delay is not enough, the sound starts to crack
And the last value does not work at all. Instead of sound, just a crackle with the same timing is recorded

I am trying to use a loudness control VST in Lighthost to control the sound coming from the PC (VAIO). I have seen other people use that exact setup and plugin (LoudMax) on Youtube.

The test in the settings works through the patch insert in Voicemeeter, but any other sound does not pass trough the plugin. This can be seen in the plugin, as there are no reactions in the meeters, and there is no sound.

Since the test works, I am out of ideas.

I have also tried other minimal host apps like NanoHost, and other plugins like Youlean Loudness Meter, and the same problem exists there, too.

Anyone with an idea what else I could be doing wrong?

Hello, was wondering if anyone can help solve the issue of the application closing whenever I swap the "Audio deive Type" to ASIO. Reason for doing this is to connect to voicemeter banana. I have tried running everything on adminstrative and it still crashes

If you stop or restart Windows Audio service when Light Host is running, the CPU usage of light host will jump in my case from 0.5% to 24%, and Light Host will stop working until its restart. The problem occurs with no active plugins and on Windows 11. I think the CPU usage can be fixed and perhaps a check and rehook to Windows Audio can be implemented.

When closing it doesn't save presets from most of my plugins.

In LightHost does the signal chain for the plugins flow from top to bottom or bottom to top. This isnt clear in the app.

What I mean is in the active plugins of the tray, the plugins are listed top to bottom, which plugin will be applied first, the one at the top or the one at the bottom?

Most likely through command line flag and an additional setting file suffix must be passed.

LightHost -multiInstance=2

This should result in the allowing of another instance spawning and use the default settings file name with "2" appended to it.

Let it scan my plugin folder, worked. Added a plugin to active, worked. Added second plugin, worked. Deleted second plugin and it crashed. Then I tried to open it up again, didn't work. Tried deleting the folder und uninstalling, didnt open anymore. Tried deleting folder, restarting pc and installing a earlier version, didn't open.

I am using LightHost with Voicemeeter Banana. The default audio buffer size in Voicemeeter is 512 samples. When using LightHost with Voicemeeter default buffer settings, there are no issues found when restarting the PC or program. However, if you set the buffer size to 256 samples in Voicemeeter, Lighthost will not register the buffer size after a pc restart. This is what it looks like when it is opened after a restart:

Does anyone know how to edit the settings file to force LightHost to use a buffer size other than 512 after a restart? Or, to make LightHost use the new buffer size upon restart? This issue causes audio issues with the microphone in Voicemeeter.

What does this button do that seems to be obscured in the Preferences menu?

Also, why does the font in the system tray right-click menu and in the window itself look so.. low resolution?

I really love this software, the easy integration into Voicemeeter and the fact that it allows visuals on VSTs (unlike eqAPO) is great BUT I dislike that you cannot run different sets of VSTs on different inputs of an ASIO. I thought the multi-instance feature would allow this, but you cannot open the same ASIO driver you already have open in another instance.

What I'd like to achieve is run my voice plugins through the 1st insert of Voicemeeter, and my guitar plugins through the third. This seems unachievable at this time.

Hi, I just downloaded Light Host and installed some plugins after I clicked detect plugins I saw the plugins I had then it just crashed. I tried to launch it again but it closed right after. I tried reinstalling it multiple times but that wouldn't fix anything.

The delay between my microphone and my camera is HUGE and that's due to Lighthost.
Is this normal or can you do something about it?
