So when you pass both a width and a flexGrow in, we end up treating the width as a min width. You may want to add logic so you keep the resize column width separate from the default. If a column is resized set the column width.
When rendering the columns, if a column width exists, don't pass the flexGrow parameter. Otherwise pass the default width and the flexGrow parameter.
I'm going to close for now, but please let me know if this doesn't work for you.
