training form scratch

Hi, Xu.
I am really interested in your bot which took part in the AIIDE 2016 StarCraft AI Competation.
In the wiki, I notice that Overkill uses reinforcement learning and UCB search to construct a more intelligent bot. That is very innovative and attractive.
As a newbie to StarCraft AI, I have some trouble training and test the bot.
Could you give me some advice on how to use the code training form scratch and testing with other bot?
How should I change the hyper-parameters and develop/release mode in different stage?
