Update: I flashed a fresh, unwired board and it worked just fine. I suspect I may have damaged the processor of the other board; I touched the main board a few times with the iron, possibly too long, and another time was that I touched a pin for too long causing heat conduction through that pin and damaging the internals. These are suspicions on my part, but I will try to wire the new one with minimal damage.

Update: I connected a new board to a battery and connected just fine, also turns out the first board did not take any damage. However, connecting an MPU6050 to either of them causes it not to connect to wifi with the same blue light.

Turns out the INT can't be connected to the ESP8266 when the IMU is an MPU. Thanks, @stardestro#9167 (Discord)
