when i turn on shiftlock, the mouse moves

Whenever I try to open Studio it closes automatically.

Arch Linux Latest
6.4.12-arch
Flatpack AUR and Source tested.

Same output no matter what I do, and arch doesn't have Wine 8.3. Also, I don't think Wine - GE is even there when installing from pak.
I even tried Grape-juice and cork same issue persists.

Also, I love salt and vinegar chips.

Is there anyway to disable the fps unlocker? I am trying this on a steam deck, and it is not respecting the os frame cap limiter in game mode. Since I am playing on 60hz displays i would like to cap at 60fps to try to smooth out frame times a bit.

gplasync is a patch for dxvk which adds async compilation of shaders
Its features can be enabled with the DXVK_ASYNC=1 and DXVK_GPLASYNCCACHE=1 environment variables

Hi all, Roblox is currently blocking Wine users with the new 64-bit client for the foreseeable future. If you encounter the message "Wine is not supported", please know that it comes from Roblox's side. There's nothing we can do at the moment.

Additionally, the new version of Studio is using obscure Windows functions which are currently unsupported by Wine. Several communities are currently working to resolve this issue.

We apologize for any downtime. These updates are detrimental to Wine users. For Player, the only thing that can be done at the moment is to express feedback to Roblox, as they have mentioned they are open towards Wine usage in the future.

If you have any clue on how to continue the Roblox on Linux experience, please lend a hand!

Please be aware that the latest version of the Flatpak may be incompatible with Wine-GE, and may cause the dreaded "memory dump" error. The new version of wine, 8.15-staging, should provide comparable performance to Wine-GE.

If you wish to switch back to the Flatpak's built in wine, open your configuration file with flatpak run io.github.vinegarhq.Vinegar edit and remove the wineroot = line.

If the above method does NOT work, please try reinstalling the flatpak with

flatpak remove io.github.vinegarhq.Vinegar --delete-data

and reinstalling with

Does Vinegar detect and use instances of Proton if Wine is unavailable? Before I even bother attempting to run Roblox with Vinegar (since it's suppose to be issue-free for the most part), I want to know if it's possible without needing to install Wine, and using a copy which was built for Arch via the AUR.

I have this project built, I have Proton, can I avoid installing Wine? Seems weird, but I've avoided the need to install Flatpak and Wine up to this point and I wonder if I can keep it that way.

Do mind I have no strict aversion to installing Wine, and if I took gaming on my machine a bit more seriously I would go through the bother of using Lutris for select titles with different hacks of Wine for better compatibility sake, but I'm looking to keep my installed packages minimal.

Not sure if Studio was also affected by Roblox rolling out the wine-blocking anticheat but I cannot even launch it. It crashes on the splash screen.

I need help to fix please. Normal Roblox works fine it is just Studio thats broken i even tried reinstall.

I prefer not to compile wine for LFH, if this gets implemented ill just be able to use a precompiled wine, without having to symlink/replace /usr/bin/wine

When using the Windows version of ROBLOX, going into shift-lock mode would make the cursor go to the centre of the app, no matter how much you try to make it move (it does not move likely so that turning your avatar is easier). However, when I do so on the Vinegar ROBLOX app, the shift-lock cursor goes anywhere on the screen when I try move it.

Note, I am not too sure if this is a Vinegar issue specifically or something else.

Idk what happened here but it seems like theres a checksum mismatch

it would be great to bypass byfron for linux

when i install the flatpak for vinegar it doesnt give me the icons for it? is this a bug because i copied the code into linux terminal and the icons dont seem to be there? help me

As it is now, the launcher option only accepts an executable, whether an absolute path or a file in $PATH, without arguments. I believe allowing launcher arguments would be a great addition since it would enable use of Feral GameMode alongside Gamescope (for FidelityFX FSR or what have you). I would love to see a similar syntax to Steam's per-game launch options.

afaik, currently, it's not on the arch user repository (AUR) - adding it there would make it easier for arch users to install it like any other 3rd-part community-maintained application

Launching the Roblox Player in app mode and doing actions that require websites will not work (Such as attempting to login, its reccomended to use Quick login.), and so will Studio fail to bring up a login page; as the WineHQ team has yet to make a better implementation of the mshtml engine.

Whenever I play Roblox on max quality settings I get a LOT of lag.
Is there a way to get better performance on MAX quality settings?

When I put renderer = "Vulkan" in my config file, Roblox still launches with DXVK. There is no other lines in my file besides the documentation comments

I'm having an issue while running through vinegar where the CPU/GPU presentation time spikes up to the thousands of milliseconds, usually immediately following the Scheduler Render timing slowly creep up to around 100ms. I can watch my frames drop from 450 to around 17 throughout this process, before it will eventually return to normal. I was able to procure this screenshot from a recording I was taking to see the issue. I've been able to replicate this issue within every game I've played within Roblox (Phantom Forces, Bad Business, and a couple tycoon games). As time goes on, the frequency increases and, if I let it go long enough (usually about an hour), it will crash the client entirely while leaving Vinegar running in the background. I have to force close it from the system monitor to return to the game.

Specs:

• Ubuntu 22.04 (specifically Kubuntu)
• Ryzen 7 5800X @ 4.7ghz
• 32gb DDR4 RAM @ 3600Mhz
• NVIDIA 2060 SUPER with graphics driver version 530.41.03.

Let me know if there is any additional information I can provide. I would love to add the logs but, if I'm honest, I have no idea where those are located.

Flathub Beta has a feature for verifying applications that are officially endorsed by their developers. Hundreds of apps (~300 currently) take advantage of this feature, and it is relatively simple to implement.

As this project seems to officially provide the flatpak, it would be ideal to verify it. I can assist with doing so if desired.

Roblox just refuses to use the 3050 in my laptop and i can barely get 80 fps in arsenal
