fretonator's Issues

E sharp Phrygian route is being incorrectly generated

I received an email stating that the IRL for e sharp Phrygian is broken, but it shouldn't even exist. Maybe they were trying their hand at url manipulation because this URL shouldn't work.

So maybe this isn't an issue, because when you navigate to this URL the correct behaviour is observed.

About tunings

Thanks for the tunings update, it's a nice addition :)

BTW could exist the possibility of using the app with nonstandard tunings?

(I play drop B, for example, but other tunings would be useful)

Thanks :)

tuning issues

Hey WP,

As mentioned in stream, I play around with fretonator a bit and have come across the following:

DADGAD tuning:

The 2 A strings have the same pitch all the way up the 12 and 24 fret options for both Left and Right handed layouts.

Drop D Tuning:

High B and E strings don't play open string tones

Use the Youtube API to fetch jam tracks

Currently the jam tracks are all hard coded in JSON.

If you use the Fretonator on a regular basis, you may get bored of jamming to the same jam tracks over and over again. Could we use the Youtube API to search for a jam track and identify if it is appropriate somehow?

Notice how the video-loader has separate functionality for server-side and client-side rendering - this will have to be taken into account.

[Feature] Fretboard Memorization Game

How about some game development for Fretonator? 🙂🎮

This seems like the perfect project for a simple fretboard memorization game where a random note is selected, and the player attempts to identify the note correctly. Each game session can keep up with the correct and incorrect count.

I'm not yet familiar enough to know how difficult it would be to accomplish this using the fretonator component.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this idea.

[Feature] Metronome

Looking for feedback on a new feature! 🎸

What if we had a simple metronome to use while practicing? Having one built-into the app would eliminate the need to use a separate app on mobile.

Thoughts?

'Random mode' button

It might be fun to include a 'Random mode' button somewhere on the page, so people can discover modes they've never picked before at the press of a button.
