When providing a link to an Instagram reel, link will try to load the reel, but will ultimately fail.

I have also found in some cases it won't even attempt to load a reel at all even though the service says that it is currently running.

As this project is heavily influenced by fxtwitter, I was curious if it would be possible to have a similar translation option for ddinstagram links.

Attached below is an example of fxtwitter translation embed if "/en" is added to end of status number .

I don't like that when sending a publication with several photos I put together 1 single photo with the 4 publications.

Neither link embeds a video on discord, they embed 1 frame of the video as an image, just wondering if this is a bug or only certain instagram videos will embed when using instafix

Is this possible? If I try to add dd to a post with more than 4 images, it just says the post is unavailable.

Because I tried - it doesn't work when it's a video - but maybe in future? Would be nice.

Include https://www.ddinstagram.com in the description or the README of the repo so people can find the URL easier. I had to do some digging to find it

Discord works, but telegram for some reason doesn't. Could you take a look at making it work on more platforms?

Seems to only work for posts (e.g. here) and not reels (e.g. here). With reels, the embed portion loads for a long time on discord until it eventually fails.

It would be beneficial to have only the title and the posting user, without excessive hashtags and filler text, as it occupies excessive space.

I have a problem with the first and third link send. These are clips and are getting redirected perfectly fine. But it seems that the preview is not working right. The strange thing is that if i use the original instagram link, then there is a preview which is working.

As of now, IG stories embed through Instafix only display the thumbnail, not the video.

I'm not 100% sure if this is tied to reels vs posts, I haven't found any true consistency between ones that work and ones that don't. A lot of videos only load the preview image and don't load a video player at all (e.g. here). I've found the most consistent success with videos with multiple images/videos where the first upload is a video and there's at least one static image included in the post (e.g. here). This one worked when I first posted it in a Discord server a few days ago (and the poster's comment specifies it was uploaded as a post, not a reel), but now that embed's video player freezes at 0:00 and posting it in another server just loads the static thumbnail instead.

i'd like to suggest a feature for better support towards collage posts, where currently if you try to embed a link such as:

the link doesnt embed, but the url states the argument for the correct video
could it be possible to integrate support for these types of links?

it also appears that trying to embed the collage without the argument fails to embed the first video at all, so i'm just noting the behavior down in case there could be a potential fix

Currently, when someone shares a link from a private account, the API returns: "Post might not be available", which can say many other things.
Is it possible to catch this particular case and return a more explicit message? Something like "The post is from a private Instragram account" ?

Getting this error message for posts on some accounts, any idea why this is? No reels or anything, just regular image posts.

Feature request: since fxtwitter is well known and fxinstagram is available to buy, it would be great to have a consistent url design language here.

Just a suggestion, perhaps somehow having some sort of setting to remove the embed text from the embed would be great to keep links clean. Especially when they are full of useless hashtags.

Or a setting to greatly shorten it to a one line thing.

For example:

Removing the crossed out bit.

Given that the ease of use comes from simply adding dd to the url, perhaps may have to set up a separate server for this capability while keeping it easy to prepend the url.

As the title says, since Facebook should be running with similar stuff as Instagram, would be nice to get this fix for that too.

some posts on instagram have a huge description, most of the time it has too many tags at the ending (example: https://www.ddinstagram.com/reel/CzepwfWoB7M/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link )
this makes the embed be made out of 60% text and 40% video
i propose to simply detect amount of tags and if its more than 4, just remove them all or something. just get rid of tags in the embed

I have found that lately a lot if not all of the instagram posts & reels I try to embed via ddinstagram do have the building blocks for embedded content like the title & hashtags etc. but the actual media is not there.

Hi. I've been using this url fixer for a while since Instagram regularly breaks embeds or shows a log-in embed.

However, I've noticed that, despite stories URL's being supported by ddinstagram.com [according to the code], the embed doesn't generate for them, even though they are valid story URLs and in the format suggested by the code. Manually navigating to a "fixed" story url shows Cannot GET /stories/usernamehere/storyid from ddinstagram.com

Any idea if this can be fixed?

When trying to embed a link from instagram into discord, it does not show videos/reels. When clicking on the link the page says Cannot GET /reel/(id of post).

When user copy the story link and add the "dd" in the story link it will redirect to a fixed link

this instagram post link was deleted, the preview function is works fine, only the redirect have issue.

Purely a layman who enjoys utilizing this fix on Discord. Several of the folks in servers noticing previews not loading today. So just flagging!

Today, no file can be attached to Telegram for my IP. This is despite the fact that there is no problem with another mobile phone that I have and attach is done.

What should I do to remove this limitation?
