Also, is there a way prevent folders from closing in the file explorer and still show the folder note? (If this is not possible, then the feature described above imo would be even better)

Is your version of folder-note going to support showing folders as well as files from the folder-note or are both plugins going to be necessary?
Alx seems more feature complete. Excited to see what comes of it!

It's already available in community plugins😂, I haven't update the readme yet. And folder in overviews is definitely in the roadmap: aidenlx/alx-folder-note-folderv#10
