kinesisvideo-encoder-ros1's Issues

Carry the same same time-stamp header!!

Hi
I am very happy with kind of work this node does. Its bandwidth requirement is almost half compare to MJPEG.

I was wondering how can see the time-stamp of the kinesis_video_msgs ?
And also
If this msg can contain processing time consumed in encoding, it would be a nice performance measurement tool. What do you say?

Thanks for consideration.

Trying to work with unsupported encoding 32FC1!

Hi guys, thanks for the beautiful package.

The RGB streaming is working fine, but I also want to stream out depth data using kinesis, but I am getting the following error. Is there any way to do it without losing the depth resolution?

Missing license file in source

In order to comply with the LGPLv2.1 you must provide the license with the source, not just a link. Failure to do so invalidates the license.

Request: Support for noetic

Pretty straightforward, AWS ros packages currently do not support noetic. I'd like to get this working and willing to contribute some. Once source builds work it would be great to get buildfarm binaries as well

Trying to encode on 64 bit system using h264_v4lm2m

Hello, thank you for the excellent package for ROS and Raspberry Pi 3.

Is it possible to use h264_v4lm2m rather than omx to enable this on a 64 bit system? I am currently trying to get this working on a 64 bit Raspberry pi 4 8Gb running Ubuntu 18 with ROS melodic.

When I set codec: h264_v4l2m2m in the encoder configuration file I receive the error below:
[h264_v4l2m2m @ 0xaaab1a04e270] This encoder requires using the avcodec_send_frame() API

I have been able to encode video files directly with ffmpeg during my testing but am stuck on getting this working with Kinesis.

Does this support Intel QSV encoding

Pretty simple question: does this library provide support for Intel Quick Sync Video? If so, is it enabled by default or must it be configured?

Very high CPU utilization on UpBoard

Hi Guys,

I am trying to run the encoder on a UpBoard
I have a camera connected via USB which I am trying to stream to my KVS.
The problem is that it takes a huge amount of my CPU power. is there something I can do in order to lower it?
