Hi thank you for your tool!

I have the following problem: When trying to use a bigger library (specifically: https://gnps-external.ucsd.edu/gnpslibrary/ALL_GNPS_NO_PROPOGATED.msp) BUDDY just closes after I click on 'Compute selected' (not giving any error message). Smaller libraries such as https://gnps-external.ucsd.edu/gnpslibrary/BILELIB19.msp seem to work without problem.

I am running under Microsoft Windows 10. RAM should bot be a problem since I have more than 15Gb free.

I was trying to run BUDDY on some orbitrap metabolomics files, but the mzML files could not be loaded.

I only got this error message in a pop up window

Error invalid file format

I tried centrioded mzMLs from both proteowizard or thermorawfileparser with and without index, but all failed.

I would be grateful for the need conversion settings.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I knew your project via nature journal , I downloaded it and try it. The first time ran smoothly,but it keeps crashing since the second time. The the software noticed: MS2 Library searching... The process would be shutted down.

Could you give some advices on how to fix that?

Great tool! I have been using it for a few hours and I really like it. However, I've noticed that after running some analysis (nothing specific), the software closes itself with no error or explanation. I do not know if my computer is not powerful enough or if there's a different issue.

I am running .mgf files obtained from Molecular Networking (6800 features), and I have tested running one, two, five, ten and one hundred features. The last attempt with only one spectra crashed during computing.

Also, if the software is idle for 10 minutes or so, it closes too.

Any suggestions?

After Tao's talk yesterday at WCMC, UC Davis, wanted to try out BUDDY!
Installation issue. using Windows 11, and all updated.
The attached certificate in the bundled also installed.
Wonder how to cross this 1st hurdle!

I want to use the software but from what you can see in the attachment there is a software incompatibility. Is it possible to overcome this?
