Jump desktop is a remote desktop app for ipad. This app has great support 
for bluetooth keyboard which enables the users to use short cut such as 
copy-paste and select-all. It also support arrow keys. I tried these 
keyboard functions with ipad built-in bluetooth keyboard connection. It 
worked great. The problem is that when using built-in bt keyboard 
connection, I can't use bt mouse.

I bought the btstack keyboard and hope with this app and bt keyboard and 
mouse ipad will become a great terminal. However, it seems that the 
btstack keyboard only works as the basic keyboard so there is no arrow 
keys and shortcut such as copy-paste when using jump desktop with btstack 
keyboard. Is it possible that btstack keyboard working the same as ipad 
built-int bt connection such that all keyboard function of jump desktop 
can work properly?

At the moment, even with the firmware 3.1.2, there's no support for HFP or
HSP on the iPod Touch. Could it be possible to add it to btstack?

It's expected that the device stays connected throughout use.

It connects, and using wiimote opengles demo, I can see the iPod Touch is in 
fact receiving 
input from the controller, but it only lasts for 3 seconds, and then the 
Bluetooth connection is 
dropped. It would be really nice if you guys could fix this problem, as I can't 
afford to spend 
another 50$.

I have a Nokia phone which can send GPS data over BT using a program called
ExtGPS.  I am able to receive the GPS NMEA data on my laptop via bluetooth.

The problem is that on my Nokia phone, there are several other BT services
running and ExtGPS uses BT channel 12 (not channel 1 like most dedicated
external GPS devices).  It is not possible to selectively stop individual
BT services on the phone in order to make ExtGPS use channel 1.

Could you enhance BTstack GPS to allow the user to specify the BT channel
number for the connection?

Am currently using BTstack GPS Demo 1.3.

Any time I try to open any of the BT devices on my phone, open is returning 
with -1.

I have logged in as root on my phone and executed chmod 7777 on each BT device 
under /dev 
with success.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

ls -l produces 'crwsrwsrwt' for all devices.

Hi, now I used btstack in my project. When the ipod touch enter lock mode
and standby, the bluetooth also disconnect to other device (for example PC). 

When I go into my Settings->General page on my iPAd, it shows Bluetooth 
"Unavailable". I start up BTStack GPS and the message is "Bluetooth not 
accessible!"

It was initially working after I downloaded BTStack GPS now a few days later 
itI'm getting this error. I've tried to turn off the iPad off completely but 
that doesn't bring it back. I've also tried to reinstall BTStack & BTStack GPS 
but this didn't help either.

I've previously had this issue and a full restore corrected it.  However I'm on 
the road this time and a full restore isn't possible for me, and I'd prefer not 
to do a reset either.

In the syslog I'm seeing the following message:Jun 26 15:10:43 The-Guide

Hi, I use the btstack and rfcomm to conntect PC bluetooth adapter. In PC
bluetooth adapter, I can find out: the ipod touch had conntected to PC
bluetooth adapter.
1 I hope that I can broadcast some information by PC bluetooth adapter to
the ipod touch. How to do it?

2 How to send information from PC adapter to ipod touch by bluetooth? I
made a /dev/rfcomm0, but I can not open it.

Hi,

I've been using btstack GPS (latest version) on my iPod Touch 2G for a while 
now, and it has always worked great. However, since I've installed iOS 4.0 
(jailbroken with Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-4, using a ipsw you can find here: 
http://tinyurl.com/23owvuq) the app causes the springboard to crash. Even when 
you reboot the device, it remains in safe mode. In others words, there is no 
way to open the app and the only way to solve the problem is to uninstall the 
app. 

So my question is, what do you think is causing the problem? And of course, is 
there a way to prevent and/or solve it?

1 - I've just installed btstack keyboard and mouse. My magic mouse works fine. 
Although my 
bluetooth apple keyboard is detected and Keyboard app regnonizes keys but i 
can't write any key 
neither on "Test input fields" nor others apps.
2 - Does btstack mouse (for magic mouse) support multitouch and slip movement  
(for changing 
page app, look into photo's gallery) ?

1. Purchased app today, received confirmation from Amazon charge, clicked
install
2. two warnings: host unavailable (click ok), host unavailable (click ok),
cydia then thinks the app installed, but it's not on iPhone
3. Back to Cydia to try to reinstall, but now asks me to purchase again

I have hard rebooted my iPhone (16GB 3G, BlackRa!n, 3.1.2) and same result.

When running Keynote on iPad in presentation mode, a paired bluetooth mouse can 
be used as a clicker to move forward. However clicking the right mouse button 
will not move one slide back. ONLY the left button has any effect. Is it

I purchased BTStack Keyboard, and it seems to work in text message,  
email, but not in other apps. For example, in Safari, I can't type more  
than
one character on google search box. If I type Hi, it only accepts h  and 
nothing else. It doesn't work with on-screen keyboard either. How  can I 
fix it?
Btw, I power off and power on the phone after the  installation. Thanks.

Not sure if it can be done with this project. But it would be nice to have 
a replacement BT stack for AVRCP so next/prev would work on the iPhone.

But BTSTack thinks I make a long click and the Icons are chaking to remove or

unexpected troubles, thus a simple question arose: is btstack working on 
regular non-jailbroken 
iphones ?

I was trying to make a simple app pairing with a wiimote work (based on your 
example) but failed :( 
, if you have a working project example tree on that I'd love to see it ;) 
(i.e. the kind of tree where it 
would just need changing the code-signing certificate and build)

1.Launch BTStack app.
2.Works with Bluetooth Mouse.
3.Launch VNC Viewer app on iPad, and connect to my Mac Mini via web.
4.See attached screenshot of Remote Desktop shown on iPad screen.  Note two
cursors in the attachment.  One cursor is from VNC Viewer via iPad
Touchscreen and operates Remote Mac.  Second cursor is from Bluetooth Mouse
via BTStack.  Does not translate to controlling the remote desktop.

Expected Bluetooth Mouse to control Remote Desktop via VNC Viewer app.
It did not.  VNC Viewer app does not recognize Bluetooth Mouse.  Can you
fix or ask RealVNC to recognize the mouse cursor generated by the BTStack app?
Reason this is needed is to enter Flash-based chat room via a Remote
Desktop and be able to access this Flash-based chat room from an iPad or
iPhone.

1. Enable BTStack Mouse

3. Open any app and see that the bottom half of the screen doesn't react to the 
mouse.

When using the mouse on the iPad the bottom half of the screen should receive 
click events. 
Whats happening is the mouse never receives the event when inside an app. But 
when viewing 
your icons on the home screen, the iPad receives all click events on the screen.

a couple of suggestions/requests. 

1. if in an environment with very many bluetooth devices around, its hard to 
find the 
keyboard/mouse. would it be possible to only show keyboards/mice in the 
keyboard/mouse 
selection? although it is interesting, i dont really need to see all other 
bluetooth phones in my 
area.

2. i have a mighty mouse, and I know that its clicks are currently not 
reporting. would it be 
possible to use the keyboard for either a) clicking or b) moving the mouse 
pointer, while we wait 
for the mighty mouse to work. that being said, I do not really want to replace 
my mouse for this 
reason alone, so Matthias, I would be happy to pay for a mighty mouse enabled 
edition of the 
mouse app.

It would be good if BTdaemon support TCP socket (it's currently running with 
unix socket).
I already implemented option support for BTdaemon, libBTstack will be 
implemented soon.

Please take a look in the uploaded patch.

The keyboard is not functional for anything other than the test panel
("Test Input Fields") in the paring setup. 

The keyboard pairs properly and I am able to type text in the test box.
When pressing home, the Keyboard app shows "On". 

I had originally installed the demo application. I uninstalled this and

It would be good if libBTstack.dylib cab be compiled for iPhoneSimulator (i686).
I already modified configure.in to make it support --target=iphone-simulator, 
see the patch.

NOTE: Building on iPhoneSimulator will make BTdaemon uncompilable because it 
needs 
BluetoothManager private framework which is available only in iPhoneOS, but I 
don't know where to 
remove this target from Makefile.

I tried to buy BTstack gps on my iphone over amazon...but i'm stuck at the 
amazon login.i enter my account data and it's not doing anyting!!!...
can i somehow pay over the internet and not over cydia???

No text is pasted into the text entry window (Beejive uses a custom grey
rounded rectangle, not the the usual text entry widget).  Any selected text
is deleted, as if pasting an empty clipboard.  Typing with a bluetooth
keyboard into this widget works fine, but no pasting.

The problem happens even if the BTstack Bluetooth Stack isn't running, ever
since installing BTstack.

It would be great for us Swiss expats (or expats from other European 
countries!), using US keyboards but wanting to type accents, to be able to use

Note: Connecting a Wii Remote with Wii Classic Controller already plugged in

BACKGROUND:
Excellent -- thank you very much. As a deaf guy, I often communicate on 
keyboard even in person. I just purchased a copy of BTStack keyboard and 
it works perfectly with my ThinkOutside? keyboard. (I've used it for many 
years on PocketPC's as well as on a BlackBerry? Curve). I'm also a 
developer too as well. Matthias, I have a big favour to ask of you.... I 
would like to request that improvements to be made: 

FEATURE REQUEST:
An option to automatically reconnect to the most-recently connected 
keyboard when the keyboard is turned back on. Meaning, I can take my 
iPod/iPhone out of my pocket, open the Bluetooth keyboard, and start 
typing right away. These could be perhaps two checkboxes:

[X] Keep keyboard always connected [disable sleep]
[X] Automatically reconnect to last keyboard [even if not discoverable]
Warning: Enabling either or both above options may consume extra battery 
power.

This is how the keyboard driver on the Windows Mobile, as well as the 
discontinued BlackBerry? Curve driver (OS 4.2) made by ThinkOutside?. 
Meaning the keyboard always worked when opened up, although there was 
often a 2-3 second delay before the text showed up.  Either the keyboard 
driver is continuously reconnecting to the existing pariing (MAC address?) 
or the keyboard is initiating an incoming connection to the device.  

Meaning I would never have to launch the BTstack keyboard app again except 
to turn on/off the automatic reconnect feature (unless the iPod/iPhone was 
rebooted). 

I know that whenever the keyboard is turned back on, it won't be 
discoverable. But that works in the keyboard drivers of other devices. 
This means BTstack would need to memorize what keyboard it paired with 
last time, and might require polling for it directly "in the blind". I 
know, this will consume more battery power, but this feature is extremely 
important to me. (Because I am a deaf guy and I often like to communicate 
by keyboard --- whipping out my iPod and keyboard, powering up the 
keyboard, and immediately typing, without needing to unlock the iPhone and 
launch BTstack first.   It should work regardless of which device is 
turned on first, and should work when the keyboard is powered up (many 
keyboards, such as ThinkOutside, don't reenable discoverable mode when 
merely opened up, which powers it on)

Also: This will also solve the following problems too:
- Keyboard stopping working if it goes out of range 
- Keyboard driver stopping working if the keyboard "goes to sleep" on its 
end (Thinkoutside ultra low power mode)
Meaning, BTstack can be made to automatically reconnect when the keyboard 
is back in range, or when the keyboard is woken up by a keypress. 

BTW - when I use on other devices, I noticed that the ThinkOutside? 
keyboard also has a built in keyboard buffer, and bursts out the last few 
keypresses once fully reconnected. But you don't have to worry about this 
feature as I don't mind waiting 2-3 seconds for an automatic reconnect) 
Can you please add this feature to your BTstack driver too? I offer to pay 
$50 by PayPal? immediately up front if you can work on this feature and 
make it available as soon as you are able to. 

P.S. BTstack keyboard is the ONLY reason I jailbroke my iPhone! :-) The 
first app I ever purchased from Cydia (yet). 

I have a feeling that BTstack is sometimes getting "killed" as I am starting or 
using applications that use more memory.

This is especially annoying as it means that I have to exist the application, 
turn off the keyboard, turn it back on, restart the Keyboard app... hoping that 
this won't happen again the next time I start another app.

Is this something that could be resolved in BTstack?
