So i think it's safe to say that the program is detectable by now. Just so people know the risk. I've seen bans from people who only used the fisher very rarely and with no GM whispers or regular whispers from people.
Not 100% certain ofcourse but it definitely seems that it is detectable.

Dunno how they can detect an program if it is based on sound and search blobber...
I have use this bot and never banned...
I use it when à look series on smartphone near screen of computer.
I named the exe file to WORD.exe too
I think they just turn on bot and they let le bot making his job they have just reported or GM play whith them.
Or maybe in code something have game files access ?

((sorry for my english))

Seems like this is covered in the FAQ, on homepage of the program and in the previous issues.

A few months ago, a bunch (5 or 6) people contacted me and let me know they were banned, all within about 24 hours. Several of them said how they only rarely used the bot and never for long periods of time, in secluded areas, etc, etc.

The thing is, very few of the users ever post on GitHub or send emails, so I have to assume a lot more were banned.

In the past, every 5-6 months I'd get an email from someone and they'd tell me they got banned. Usually we'd chat a bit, and they'd admit that they did run the bot for several hours at a time and maybe they weren't very careful. But never even two emails on the same day.

So, in my mind at least, I would consider it detectable. tyrrael974's approach of naming it Word.exe might help, but I'd be really careful. Maybe someone wants to do some testing with a trial account?

Same here. 6 months 2 days ago. Must be a new FishBot ban wave.

I just got hit by a 6 month suspension after about 8 hrs of fishing which I hadn't done in a year or so on my primary account. I think they're just looking to ban fish bots at the moment. Funny thing is, my friend has this one account he uses to fishbot exclusively on , he's been doing it for the past 8 months, and he was doing it last night too and he's still okay. It makes no sense, plus he was doing it in a semi obvious place. He is using a much older version though, so I'm not sure if that is related at all or he's just that lucky.

Given that not everyone has been necessarily watching their characters, I'm pretty sure they are just actively looking for players in odd spots to catch them and ban them. They don't have to whisper you, they simply move your character for a few seconds most likely and if it keeps going it's obviously not being watched and it's a bot at play. That being said, nothing is for certain. My understanding is that warden supposedly can get a list of processes running in windows, again if they actually continually ran warden on every account every 15 seconds as they claim it to be, you'd be getting a ton of bans all the time. Which is not the case here, they might have been on the lookout specifically just for another big banwave which tends to happen over time. My friend had his account running on the same server I'm in during the same hours, heck in even before. The difference is, my character was in the middle of nowhere with water walking, while his was sitting on a rock somewhere just fishing in shore, so.... I'm assuming GM's are looking around odd spot fishing in general which is where most of the players would try to be sneaky in order to avoid other players seeing them. But the all seeing eye is at play here so, yeah I highly doubt detection is necessarily a thing unless you've been flagged repeatedly. The lesson to be learned here is, if you are willing to fish bot knowing all this, you're better off using a 2nd account to do it and taking necessary precautions with it.

It's not fishing in weird places or some of the other things people suggested. It's definitely the software. They are able to detect it in some fashion. I used it for an hour or two and wasn't in a weird place and wasn't doing anything that should've raised suspicion and was banned within a few hours. Do yourself a favor and don't use it or take precautions like someone else mentioned and do it on a secondary account that you don't mind being banned on.

I've used V4.0 for years on three accounts and have never gotten banned. Granted, I rarely fish for more than an hour, and I even more rarely leave it run without checking on it every few minutes. I've used V4.0 as recently as Oct 1, 2019 (yesterday as of this post) on two of my accounts and so far they are still alive and healthy. I only used the bot for about 30 minutes before admitting to myself that it doesn't work in Classic, which is why I came here seeking a solution.

You'd think if it were a software detection (which it may well be on the "new" version) there would be a lot more folks posting about it. I know I would. If I get a ban I'll certainly post here about it.

EDIT: Haven't used UFB a great deal since Oct 1st 2019, but I have been using it at least once a week on a spare account, again never for more than an hour. Nearly two months and the account is still up and running with no ban.

Seems to me if it were software detection that account would have been busted by now.
