Detection question. about ultimatefishbot HOT 4 CLOSED

As the bot does not inject or interfere with WoW or its memory in any way there's no way the bot would raise any alarms with Warden. However, as Warden scans for some known hacks outside the WoW-process aswell, I suppose there's a chance Warden could catch you if Warden knew about the fish bot specifically. Thus there are no guarantees, but it seems pretty safe, as no one has been caught using it by Warden so far.

Hey all - I'd agree with everything @henrikhermansen said. Ultimately, there will always be some risk, but because of how this bot works it should be low risk.

I did receive an e-mail from someone who received a 3-day ban for botting. It seems to be an isolated incident, but it's a reminder that botting is against the TOS and you could be caught. I asked the user to describe what they were doing:

Well I am fishing for like 1 week or two maybe, but i don't do it 24/7, i mean my account stays on 24/7 but the fishing bot stays on like 10 hours or 12 per day maybe more, depends, cuz on the other hand i am an alchymist and doing that proffesion and i need to spam the trade chat so i have to stay on pc. But in the last 3 days, i've made a macro on the fishing skills and the others that could spam the trade chat , for example everytime I fish or i activate the bait a trade channel message was sent. so i don't have to stay on Pc and press the same macro myself. Anyway, i'm still on the pc , most of the times. Its not a botting account, that i leave it 24/7 days per week without touching him. I do play pvp and stuff. But when i don't do that i leave the bot on, and also spam the trade for me. The message i am spamming on trade channel is for ppl sending me herbs on c.o.d for 1g, and i'm selling that stuff expensive. That's why I had a macro on the fishing skills. So your bot helps me a lot with both things.. I also botted at the end of MoP like 2 weeks also till my paid time expired, and nothing happened. This is a first ban for me also on this account. Maybe the macro for trade channel got me banned, i really don't know.. it's a 3 days ban anyway.. as a first attempt..

Again - the last thing I want to see is people losing their accounts. If there ever is a wave of bans, I'd post it here and on the main website as quickly as I can and e-mail anyone whose address I've got to give them a heads up. It is possible that Blizzard will just check to see if the binary from the site is running when WoW is and ban someone for it. At least, as far as I know, that's a possibility.

He says he doesn't fish 24/7, yet his account is online around the clock. This will of course arouse suspicion. When Blizzard then see him fishing 12 hours straight after 12 hours of pvp and gathering herbs and stuff, of course they understand what's going on.
