Bitdefender marks new version as virus about ultimatefishbot HOT 7 CLOSED

The newest version isn't a virus, just add an exclusion to BitDefender

Does your Bitdefender supply any reason for marking the bot as virus?

No it just blocks it. But the 2.1.1 version works fine.

That seems strange indeed. Perhaps @UltimateFishbot has any idea what could cause it. If you can add an exclusion to Bitdefender I'd recommend you do that.

I'm afraid I don't have any explanation - we haven't really changed very much. Oddly enough, I was able to reproduce this at my day job; I'm able to download older versions of the bot, but the most recent is flagged as malware and blocked by the company's proxy.

I know a lot of individual programs have a process where you can report false positives - (for example: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/what-to-do-when-bitdefender-detects-legitimate-applications-491.html) but to be honest, I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

Besides - it might encourage people to get the source, look at it/build it themselves and I think that's pretty cool :)

This issue has been inactive for a long time, so im closing it... If you are having issues with antivitus blocking this bot you can always compile it yourselves or exclude it in your AV, as dgsm98 said. This bot is not containing malicious code.
If you still think this should be considered as a issue, feel free to open new one.
